Sattel is an artist and art director working across images, objects, digital products and systems.
His practice is interested in the strange point at which something imagined begins to behave like something real - when an image becomes a symbol, a symbol becomes an identity, and an identity starts organising people around it.
For the past decade, he has worked across independent art and design, fashion, publishing, digital culture and large-scale internet projects.
The medium changes. The underlying interest does not:
how ideas acquire form, meaning and eventually a life of their own.
